newfreedomblog

New Freedom Blog is a new site to promote and protect freedom in America.  It is our hope that we can elect Representatives in Washington who will first and foremost protect and defend our Constitutional rights.  We also hope that Americans will join together in the 2010 election, and voice their concerns with their votes.  We hope that we can elect Representatives that will not only protect our freedom and liberties, but pass legislation that protects the best interest of the majority of our citizens.  We do not need any more Representatives who are only out to make money through lobbyists.

This site is dedicated in the memory of my Father, Fred Burket.  He was a great man, loved his country and family.  My father was a World War II  veteran, who served his country proudly.

Those individuals from the "Greatest Generation" will be remembered for their hardwork and dedication to the United States of America.

New Freedom Blog will support candidates who will dedicate themselves to voting for legislation that will continue to protect our rights and freedom.  Who will pass legislation that will;

1.  Place term limits on government offices.

2.  Pass legislation that will enact a flat tax on every American and business.

3.  Provide limitations on spending by the Federal Government.

4.  Promise to keep our constitution intact, and to protect and defend the constitution from all assaults.

5.  Promote a limited Federal Government, and give back power to the individual States.

It's here!!  You can now leave comments to our posts.  While I appreciate any and all comments, please keep it decent and stimulating for discussions.  Any blatant abuse will be deleted immediately.  We reserve the right to moderate all comments.

 What is freedom?  Is it "unalienable rights"?

“That all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights…”   Declaration of Independence

Webster's 1828 dictionary defines unalienable as "not alienable; that cannot be alienated; that may not be transferred; as in unalienable rights" and inalienable as "cannot be legally or justly alienated or transferred to another."

In other words, human beings are imbued with unalienable rights which cannot be altered by law whereas inalienable rights are subject to remaking or revocation in accordance with man-made law.

Inalienable rights are subject to changes in the law such as when property rights are given a back seat to emerging environmental law or free speech rights give way to political correctness. In these situations no violation has occurred by way of the application of inalienable rights - a mere change in the law changes the nature of the right.

Whereas under the original doctrine of unalienable rights the right to the use and enjoyment of private property cannot be abridged (other than under the doctrine of “nuisance” including pollution of the public water or air or property of another).

The policies behind Sustainable Development work to obliterate the recognition of unalienable rights. For instance, Article 29 subsection 3 of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights applies the "inalienable rights" concept of human rights:

 Help us fight the ACLU, MoveOn.Org and all the other far left liberal and progressive groups.  Our freedom is at stake!
